WILL COME BACK IN 20 YEARS

My friend has been trying to get into the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for weeks, since she couldn't find extra £400 to rent a room, we decided to visit the Bar instead. As we walked in the lobby the concierge has checked us out from top to bottom after which kindly showed the way to the Mandarin Bar. Guess we looked good enough :)
We sat down at the table in the corner which gave us a good overview of the bar:
At the table across from us we found a group of british  50+ aged people (posh by the looks of it) sharing a bottle of wine and having a sophisticated conversation. I thought to myself they are probably talking about cricket and weather (don't all british people love talking about it)
The entire audience tried to keep up with them, even those who clearly did not belong to the place.
That's when my friend said: "I feel like my dad is about to walk in and sit down by the bar anytime" (and her dad is almost 70)
That was a sign for us to finish off and move to a different place.
Cocktails were average, but not as expensive as we expected.
Snacks seemed amazing (we came in quite hungry, and the bowls with nuts and chips were refilled regularly)...
The staff was surprised by our rather fast escaping (escaping is the correct term for this), but it just didn't feel right.

TIP: If you haven't got those £400 to rent a room, you are no cricket player.
